Joe Patrick Carl, the son of Jake and Ethel (O’Banion) Carl was born September 12, 1935. He passed away from this earth to be with his heavenly father on January 28, 2019 at the age of 83
After his service in the Army, he met and married Marylene Brown. They were married January 4, 1957. To this union six children were born; ALinda Darlene, Mary Ann, Marsha Jolene, Nancy Jean, Joel Lee and Ronda Marlene.
They moved to a farm west of Osceola in 1968. There they continued to raise their children and live for thirty four years before Marylenes passing in 2002.
Joe was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and one of the best friends any person was blessed to know.
He was a member of the painters union by trade. Joe also enjoyed his farm. He raised cattle. During the summer you could always find Joe putting up hay for his cattle. It was only in the last two years that Joe was forced to stop farming due to health issues. Joe also enjoyed his saw mill. He cut lumber on his personal saw mill for his own personal use and for many neighbors and friends.
Joe was an honest man. He would help anyone in need. He was also a generous man. His belief in our Lord and Savior was a true testament to the great man Joe was. He blessed many lives by his walk through Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Ethel Carl; sister, Peggy Morris and Violet Love and brother, Jack Carl. Joe was also preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Marylene.
After a few years Joe was blessed to fall in love again. This time with Shirley Dukes. Not only did Joe have a relationship with Shirley, he was blessed with her family. Joe was welcomed into her family by her son Mark, granddaughter Jessica and Jessica’s two sons, Austin and Coleman.
Joe was once again preceded in death by Shirley Dukes in June of 2016.
He is survived by his six children, Linda Brower (Buddy) of Schell City, Missouri, Mary Carl (Everett Harmon) of Osceola, Missouri, Marsha MCarthy (Tom Connard) of Rockville, Missouri, Nancy Dillon (Bud) of Rockville, Missouri, Joel Carl (Sharon) of Osceola, Missouri, Ronda Stomp (John) of Appleton City, Missouri; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Joe will be missed, but the family also rejoices knowing that the heavens are celebrating. God has called another Angel home.
