Chandler, Nancy J. August 3, 1929 - July 2, 2018

Nancy Johnaphine (Dodson) Chandler was born on August 3, 1929 near Lowry City, Missouri to John Lorn and Zola Weller Dodson. She passed away July 2, 2018 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri

She attended grade school at Pleasant Valley School and graduated from Lowry City High School in 1946. On February 10, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Raymond Chandler, this union celebrated 61 years until his death in 2009.

Nancy worked at various offices in the Osceola courthouse, Marrow Auto Supplies and Edwards Press. She became a steno and later a social case worker for the State of Missouri on July 1, 1962 and continued that employment until retirement on August 30, 1991.

She was saved in a revival held by Rev. Ed Elliott in 1948. She was a member of High Hill Missionary Baptist Church near Lowry City.

Nancy enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting and traveling. She and Raymond enjoyed winter in the Texas Rio Grande Valley and summers in Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Zola Dodson, husband Raymond, brother-in-law Frank Wright, and niece Carolyn Wood.

Nancy is survived by her sister Margaret Wright of Lowry City. Nephew John Wright and wife Donna of Archie MO. Great-Niece Amanda Johnson and husband Gary, of Clinton, MO. Great-Nephew Curtis Gregory and wife Mandy, of Raymore, MO. Great-Nephew Michael Wright of Drexel, MO. Great-Niece Melissa Tomlinson and Husband Jayson of Archie, MO. Great-Niece Melody Zeiler and husband Mike of Pleasant Hill, MO. Four Great-Great Nieces and five Great-Great Nephews.
