Chapman, Arvel “Buck” E July 13, 1922 - September 21, 2014

Arvel Elmo “Buck” Chapman, 92, of Lowry City passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his home. Mr. Chapman was born July 13, 1922 in Lowry City. He was the 7th person to survive a jet ejection and served in the US Naval Air Force for 22 years until retiring as Lieutenant Commander. He went on to be a senior buyer for the Sears Roebuck Company for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lena Chapman, stepmother Ruth, siblings Junior Chapman and Winnie Kay Keeling. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mary Chapman; two daughters Bev Chapman and Karen Chapman-Arnote; sisters Maudie Higgins, Sue Leiber brother B.J., grandson Sage Arnote, granddaughter Heather Arnote-Groh, great grandson Hunter Arnote, nieces, nephews.
