Conrad, Walter E. January 7, 1921 - January 15, 2013

Walter Eugene Conrad was born January 7, 1921 in Iconium, Missouri to George and Minnie (Matthews) Conrad. He passed away January 15, 2013 at Westwood Care Center, Clinton, Missouri. Walter was united in marriage to Emma Laura Sheets on April 12, 1941. He honorably served his country in Germany during WWII from February 23, 1943 to December 8, 1945 in the US Army. Walter was the oldest living member of the Lowry City American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a wonderful gardener. His garden were always beautiful. Walter was self employed and worked for the road district driving a gravel truck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, infant son, Larry Gene, son, Walter, Jr. and son, George Conrad. Walter is survived by his daughters in-law, Kathy Conrad, Deepwater, Missouri and Juanita Conrad, Deepwater, Missouri, granddaughters, Jami Clevenger, and son, Derek, Katy, Texas; Lori Wingbermuehle and husband, Mike, and children, Joseph, John, Anna, James, and Justin, St. Charles, Missouri and Kimberly Bowers, and children, Jacqueline and Timothy Bowers, Clinton, Missouri, other relatives and friends.
