William “Bill” Satterlee, age 89, of El Dorado Springs, Mo. passed away on January 13, 2013. He was born in Adrian, Mo. to Amos and Carol Satterlee. Bill married Mary Rebecca Aldrich on Aug. 7, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo., who survives him at their home in El Dorado Springs, Mo. Bill and Mary were married for 64 years and had 4 children. David W. Satterlee, Iowa, Ralph E. Satterlee of El Dorado Springs, Harold E. Satterlee, Texas, and Joyce M. Mock, Florida. Bill had a long and full life and enjoyed his family and many friends. He dedicated his life to Jehovah God seventy-two years ago. He had a firm faith in the resurrection hope with perfect health in the promise earthly paradise where the scripture says at Matthew 5:5: “the meek shall inherit the earth.” also Psalms 37:11. In the sentence of life, Bill’s passing is a comma (pause) not a period. Bill attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’ Witnesses of El Dorado Springs. Bill built their first 2 story, 4 bedroom home, mostly by himself in the Kansas City area in the late 1950’s. To be closer to his employment the family moved to Liberty, Mo. in 1963. Bill worked for the Railroad, a Mobile Home Mfg. Co., and for Ford Motor Company for 30 plus yrs. before retiring at 68 yrs. old. He enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and some Caribbean Islands. He also enjoyed gardening, old movies & country music. Preceding him in death were 2 brothers & 2 sisters. Bill and Mary moved to El Dorado Springs, Mo. May, 2011 to be closer to family, Ralph and Pam Satterlee and grandchildren. Those who also survive him include one brother, Amos Satterlee of California, 4 children listed above, 5 grandchildren: Sondi Faye ( Satterlee) Bowen & family of Springfield, Mo. Andrea Rachelle (Satterlee) Pike & husband Jason of El Dorado Springs, Micah Neale Satterlee & family of Springfield, Mo., Wesley H. Satterlee, Nathan W. Satterlee. Two Great Grandchildren: Austin Taylor Bowen of Springfield, Mo, and Miles Parker Satterlee of Springfield, Mo. Bill had a long and full life. He had a firm faith in the resurrection hope. He dedicated his life to Jehovah God seventy-two years ago.
