Cooey, Jewel October 21, 1944 - February 8, 2015

Jewel (Pinckard) Cooey entered this world on October 21, 1944 as the baby of the family. She departed her earthly body on February 8, 2015. She lived most of her life in Brownsboro, Texas before “retiring” to Jerico Springs, Missouri. Along the way, Jewel married her High School sweetheart and raised three children. Jewel held several jobs, but the most important were wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Waiting to welcome Jewel on her arrival were her husband of 45 years: AC Cooey, parents: James and Viola Pinckard, brothers: William Pinckard, John Pinckard, Edward Pinckard and Delwin Cooey, Son-in-laws: Eliordo Acuna and David Sanderson.

Jewel is survived by her children: Shirley and Rudy Vause of Chandler, Texas, Regina Acuna and Dudley Sawyer of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and James Cooey of Nevada, Missouri. Grandchildren: Carmen Acuna and Brandon Scott (El Dorado Springs, MO), Erica and Timmy Bybee (El Dorado Springs, MO), Cecil and Krystle Cooey (Schell City, MO), Mason Cooey (El Dorado Springs, MO), Stefani Vause (Chandler, TX), Delwin Cooey (Athens, TX), and Justin Vause (Bismarck, ND). Great grandchildren: Madison Scott, Emily Bybee, Brooke Bybee, Blake Bybee, and Braxton Scott. Sisters: Iona and John Miller, Katherine Palmer. Sister-in-law: Peggy and Don Tedford, Aunts: Ethel Huckabee and Peggy Simmons. Mother of three grandchildren: Regina F. Cooey, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
