Roger Glen Culbertson was born June 6, 1943 in Cobb, Missouri to Glenn and Zepha (Minks) Culbertson on the front porch. He passed away February 2, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri.
He attended 1st through 6th grade at River View Country School. He then went to school and graduated from El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Roger attended school at Central Missouri State University for three years studying biology. He enlisted in the United States Army for two years, spending 1 year in Korea. However, his heart was always on the farm.
When he returned he was united in marriage to LaVena Ann Martin. This union was blessed with two children, Shanda Lynn and Kelsey Glen Culbertson.
Roger was a faithful member of Humansville Christian Church where he served in various positions. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, farming and going to Springfield in the feed truck. He had a quick wit, charming personality and a sense of humor. He could always bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was a loving husband, devoted father and papa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Zepha Culbertson as well as his brother, William (Slick) Hugh Culbertson.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, LaVena; daughter, Shanda Loyd and husband Dwight; son, Kelsey Culbertson and Michelle; grandchildren, Miranda, Ariel, Andrew, Taylynn and Kayson along with many nieces and nephews.
