Edward E. Deardorff Sr. was born September 20, 1941 to Elzie and Agnes Deardorff and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2025.
He married the love of his life, Betty Jean Payne, on July 3, 1959. Ed was a beloved father to his children, Ed Jr. (Evelyn) Deardorff of Humansville, Holly Cooper of Kansas City, Mark (Shelly) Deardorff of Garden City, and Rob (Becky) Deardorff of Archie.
Ed and Betty have been blessed with 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Ed touched the lives of many with his rare gift of making anyone he met feel like a long time friend and family member. He loved spending time outdoors, especially on his tractor, Mindy, or his side x side Maddy Mule, and hunting with family.
Ed is survived by his wife Betty, their four children, his sister Elaine, many family members, and even more friends.
Ed was a devoted servant of the Lord, which was evident throughout his life. He found joy in prayers before family meals, strength in scripture and peace in the promise of eternal life. His wish would be to see all of you in heaven one day.
