Donna Irene Devine was born October 23, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to J.B. and Ethel Devine. Donna was surrounded by family and loved ones when she passed away on December 29, 2017 in Springfield, MO. She loved living on the farm in Deepwater, MO with Robert Crowder. She was devoted to her family and loved unconditionally. Donna dearly loved children and had an amazing gift to connect with and enrich the lives of young people. Nothing brought more joy to her than when she watched children learn and play. She opened her home to anyone in need, especially family. Donna was a longtime supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, which played a central role in her life when her sons were members. Throughout much of her adult life she was deeply involved in the Nazarene Church and many other community activities in Deepwater, especially those programs that supported children. She was greatly loved by many and will be dearly missed, but will live on in the lives of many people she touched during her life.
Donna is preceded in death by her father, mother, and daughter Amanda Drake. She is survived by her partner Robert Crowder (daughter Christina Anderson and son Robert Crowder) of Deepwater, sons Damon Lesmeister of Corvallis, OR and Colten Crowder of Colombia. Donna is also survived by her sister Bonnie Bays of Deepwater, brother Donald Devine of Lowry City, and brothers Bruce Devine and Ronald Devine of Grain Valley. She has nine grandchildren as well as many other family, friends, and loved ones. A memorial service will be held at the Sheldon Funeral Home in Osceola on January 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm, and a grave side service will be held later in the spring. The family invites anyone to share stories and memories of Donna.
