Eula May (Judy) Drewry, 91, of Osceola, died Monday, August 4th, 2014 at her home. She was born July 17, 1923 in Versailles, MO, daughter of Percie and Cloie Hite.
She is survived by her husband Richard H. Drewry. They were married April 2, 1946. She is also survived by two sons, Richard E. Drewry (Barbara) of Oceanside, CA, and Stephen C. Drewry of Kansas City, MO; one granddaughter, Julia M. Harrod (Owen) of Austin, Texas and two grandsons Collen and Aedan.
Judy graduated from the Nursing School at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City in 1944 and worked there as a Registered Nurse and was the head nurse of the emergency room for 25 years. In the 1970’s she received the first award from the St Luke’s interns as “Nurse of the Year.” Judy was an active member of the Kansas City Greater Foundation for many years. In all stages of life she was a caregiver to those in need.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 9th at 10:30 at the First Christian Church of El Dorado Springs, MO, where she was a member. Reverend Jack Daniel will be officiating.
The family wishes to thank her long-time friend Marita Aufner and all of the many church and other friends and neighbors who have loved and supported her.
