Johnny Clayton Esry, 77, of Collins, MO, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. Johnny was born on August 4, 1938, to Harry and Leona Esry, in El Dorado Springs, MO. He was one of seven children, the only son. Johnny attended El Dorado Springs High School, and played on the basketball team. In 1957, he was married to Juanita Pettijohn, and to that union were three children, Rick, Randy and Lisa. As a younger man, he worked as a milk truck driver, helped build the Stockton Dam, and drove a farm equipment sales route. He became an auctioneer and spent the greater part of his life as a cattleman. He was still farming at the time of his passing. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Leona Sumner Esry, sister Elnora Seim, granddaughter Jessi Kiefer and grandson Rhett Esry. He is survived by his three children, sons Rick and Randall Esry, daughter Lisa Esry Johnson, eight grandchildren, Rachel and husband Edward Mitchell, Ryan Esry, Regan Esry, Conner Esry, Levi Esry, Jeremiah Kiefer, Tara Johnson and Caleb Johnson, six great-grandchildren, his five sisters, Deloris Nikodim, Laura Faye Hammond, Roberta Walker, Barbara Wallen and Anna Ruth Fields and many nieces and nephews.
