Foote, Clara E. November 29, 1925 - February 13, 2011

Clara Elizabeth Foote was born November 29, 1925 to Forrest and Virginia Mae (Graham) Smith near Vista, Missouri. When Clara was 10 years old her mother passed away. After That, she made her home with her grandparents; E.W. and Clara Graham, also, her uncle Pete and Aunt Leafa Graham and their 3 children, Jean, E.W. and Mary Lu. She finished grade school at Vista, Missouri. In 1943 she graduated from Osceola High School. Clara was saved and joined the Vista Baptist Church in 1938.On July 10, 1943 she married Clifford Kauffman, from Collins, Missouri. Clifford passed away October 24, 1980. Clara was an Avon Sales Lady for 20 years.

After Cliffords death, Clara sold the farm and moved to Osceola. She married an old school mate, Bill Foote on September 8, 1984.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, her mother and father and step-mother, Hazel, a half sister, Sharon Smith, her step-father, Joe Long. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Leonard Long and Leonard’s wife Artie Mae.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Foote at the Hermitage Care Center; half brother, Carl Long and wife, Marilyn of Kansas; her brother John Smith and wife Carolyn of Bridgeport, Texas; 2 sisters-in-law Helen Long and Clifford’s sister, Neva Botting of California; Bob Leach, Clifford’s nephew who came to live with Clara and Clifford at an early age. Bob and his wife, Dottie reside in derby, Kansas and have remained very close to Clara in her failing years. She is also survived by Bill’s sons and their wives, Steve and Merrilee Foote of Osceola, Tim and Terry of Denver, Colorado, Billy of Denver, Colorado and Richard and Karen of Chandler, Arizona. There are 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Clara also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
