Jimmie Jean Foote was born November 13, 1925 in Osceola, Missouri to Jennings Brown and Georgia (Henry) Smith. She passed away September 30, 2019 Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City, Missouri.
She had three sisters: Iona, Rhea and Ikie (Lila Lee). In March of 1946 she married Bill Foote after his return home from the Pacific in World War II. This union was blessed with four sons, Steve, Tim, Bill and Rich. She had 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Jimmie was a member of the Osceola First Baptist Church. She was always active with each church she attended. Jimmie was especially proud of her role in the Stephen’s Ministry and taking care of toddlers and preschool children in her church in Springfield, Missouri and in Colorado.
She loved to travel. Jimmie and her sisters went on many cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. She also went to Europe and spent 2 weeks there. Her favorite thing to do was anything that involved her grandkids. It didn’t matter what, whether attending ballgames, movies, river-rafting (at the age of 85, it did not deter her), baking and cooking for the grandkids, birthday outings and most of all trout fishing at Buena Vista, Colorado.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters. She is survived by her sons; Steve and wife Merrilee, Tim, Bill and Richard and wife Karen; grandsons, Steve and wife Andrea, C.L., Brendon and wife McKenzie, Sean, Jeremy and wife Shelby; granddaughters, Stephanie and husband Jason, BoDell and husband Chris, McKenna and Rachel; great grandchildren, Addison, Meaghan, Presley, Harper, Emery, Devan and Holden.
