Thelma “Sis” Halteman passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 17, 2010 while visiting her son in Osceola, Missouri. She was born on July 19, 1926 in Birch Tree, Missouri to J.S. Nicholson and Jessie Hannah Nicholson.
She was married to Carl Halteman on April 25, 1948 until his death in 1984. She retired from Western Electric in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and she and Carl moved from Kansas City, Missouri to the Lake of the Ozarks where she lived until her death.
Sis enjoyed her retirement and love of the Lake by spending time with her children, grand children and great grandchildren and bowling at Zodiac Lanes in Camdenton. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Camdenton.
She is survived by hner two sons, Nick Halteman and his wife Sandy, Osceola, Missouri, Max Halteman and his wife Donna, Blue Springs, Missouri; four grandchildren, Lisa More and her husband Terry, Raymore, Missouri, Brad Halteman and his wife Angie, Grain Valley, Missouri, Miranda Kerfoot and her husband Robert, Raymore, Missouri and Anne Bartlett, Grain Valley, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren and 3 siblings in Montana. Per her request there will be a graveside service only to be held in the spring.
