Margaret “Peggy” Irene Haugan, 90, was born September 10, 1920 in Los Angeles, California to Stephen and Mary (Shoemaker) Miller. She passed away June 25, 2011 in Osceola, Missouri at Sac-Osage Hospital.
She spent most of her life in California raising three children and helped raise two of her grandchildren. Everyone who knew her loved her. She loved to garden and always had beautiful iris, roses and other flowers and was happy to share them withh everyone. She enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds and kept busy her whole life. She never met a challenge that she couldn’t face head on, at 80 she went white water rafting for the first time. She loved spending time with family and friends whether it was a simple visit, holiday dinner, trip to the beach, amusement parks or camping and hiking, she was always there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Haugan, daughter Laura Haugan, son Stephen Haugan, and brothers Leo Miller and John “Bill” William Miller.
She is survived by son John William and wife Nancy Haugan, sisters Honora “Noni” Miller, Diane “Dee” and John “Jack” Tolliver, brother Laurence “Lo” Miller. Grandsons William “Tony” Pinero, John Haugan, Martin Haugan and Shane LaGrew. Great Grandsons Tyler Haugan, Zacharey Haugan and Andrew Pinero. Great Granddaughter Alyssa Haugan. Great Great Granddaughter Bry-Lynn Smith; nephews Brian Miller, Larry Miller and Eric Miller. Nieces Mary Stahl, Karen Miller, Theresa Buchner, Mary Tolliver and Colleen Putnam; great niece Kimberlee Buchner, Great Nephew Scotty Leal
