Hill, Helen L May 2, 1927 - June 23, 2011

Helen Louise Hill, 84, of El Dorado Springs, Mo. passed away June 23, 2011 at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs. Helen was born May 2, 1927 in Bates County, Mo., daughter of Virgil and Winnie Wainscott. She grew up in Ballard and graduated from Ballard High School. On July 1, 1945, Helen was united in marriage to Ed Hill and to this union one daughter, Sherry was born. Helen’s pride and joy were her dogs. Anyone that knew Helen, knew Samantha and Cricket. Helen loved to bake and those who knew her, have often tasted her delicious goodies. Helen was always ready to go fishing or hunting, and as owner of Tote and Float Boat Shop. . .her hobby became a successful business in El Dorado Springs. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ed; her two sisters Margaret Shull, Rita Hudson and niece Janet Anderson. Helen is survived by her daughter Sherry; grandsons Brent and Matt. She leaves behind nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. Her family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness as well as their visits to Helen during her illness.
