Thelma Ruth Hubbard was born September 6, 1917 to Arthur Bray and Jessie (Walters) Bray in Lowry City, Missouri. She passed away August 7, 2015 at the Truman Lake Manor Nursing Home in Lowry City, Missouri

On December 24, 1937 Thelma married John Hubbard. They lived in many places but eventually made their way back to Lowery City to live. John preceded her in death in August 1993.

Thelma touched many people and had a love for the great outdoors. She could pick up a gun for hunting and drop a line in the water to catch a fish with Cracker Jacks in hand. Thelma had a very creative soul and enjoyed expressing herself through quilting, flower arranging, painting, carpentry, ceramics and other crafts. She was a member of the garden club and had a love of flowers and gardening. Thelma’s kitchen was one of those where you could find gravy on the table at every meal. She was always ready to feed everyone that walked in her door and could make a pie that would put a smile on anyone’s face. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Thelma was preceded in death by her son, JD Hubbard and brothers and sisters.
