Dale White (also known as the Lowry City dog walker) was born on December 7, 1940 to Retha and Lloyd White in Kansas City, Missouri. Dale passed away August 7, 2015 peacefully at his home with his loving wife, Judy, buy his side.
At the age of 11 his family moved to Hillsdale in Miami County, Kansas and he loved the country life. At the age of 18 Dale worked on electrical lines all through Kansas, then he helped his father begin a new business at the age of 21, White’s Auto Supply in Olathe, Kansas. The store grew to 28 employees and served their customers for many years. Dale loved his customers and employees and treated them all as family. The store was sold in 1988. Dale later worked for Capri in Clinton, Missouri and loved his job very much. Dale then retired in 2013.
Dale has two daughters from a previous marriage, Dalena and Jolene. In 1990 Dale married Judy Kulesh and gained a son, Rick, whom he considered as a son. He also gained three more step-daughters, Joanne, Katie and Karrie. Judy was from Minnesota and Dale always referred to her as “His yankee woman” and Judy referred to him as “Her redneck man”. They were happily married for 25 years.
God saw he was getting tired and the cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered “come with me”. With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents Retha and Lloyd White; sister-in-law, Mary Lou White; niece, Debra Ann (White) Olsen and brother Jerry White.
He is survived by his wife, Judy White, of the home; daughters, Dalena Morris of Paola, Kansas, Jolene White and Bob Burnett of Overland Park, Kansas; step-children, Rick (Anna) Kulesh of Rhode Island, Katie (Mike) Kulesh of Denver, Colorado, Karrie (Steve) Price of Denver, Colorado, Joanne (Jeff) Traezek of Sandusky, Ohio; 6 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 3 great-grandsons and several cousins, also his beloved pets, Kiki, Joey, Mack, Molly, 1/2 pint, Sassy and Taz
