Christine Louise (Nelson) Johnson was born July 2, 1949 to Chris Nelson Jr. and Betty (Janssen) Nelson in Harlan, Iowa. She went to be with her Savior, after a brave fight with cancer, on June 20, 2018 in her home in Osceola, Missouri surrounded by her family.
Her parents moved to Baker, Montana when Christy was small and it is there that she grew up and graduated from high school. She attended Beauty School in Billings, Montana where she met and married Dennis M. Johnson April 6, 1968. To this union two children, Kim and Jeff, were born. Christy moved to Missouri later in life where she remained until her death. She loved the water, whether it was the ocean or the lake. Her home at the lake provided many family memories of boating, fishing, camping and laughing. Christine was an avid gardener and could always be found planting flowers, trees and vegetables. Her greatest joy, however; was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to have everyone together as much as possible.
She is preceded in death by her father Chris Nelson Jr; mother Betty (Janssen) Nelson, Dennis Johnson and brother-in-law Dave Hall.
Christine is survived by two children, Kim Lovewell and her husband Kevin of Douglas, Wyoming; Jeff Johnson and his wife Omie of Jamestown, Missouri. 8 grand-children, Lindsey(Dustin), Sheridan of Marshfield, MO; Shelby(Brandon), Brianna(Dean) of Osceola, MO; Jake, Austin, of Pittsburg, KS; Garrett and Baylee of Jamestown, MO; 7 great-grandchildren, with 1 on the way, Whitley, Zoey, Gavin, Parker, Liam, Carson and Jackson. 3 brothers Bob(Selena) Nelson, Mike(Pam) Nelson, Bill(Dora) Nelson and 1 sister Lori Hall all of Baker, Montana. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.
Christine desired no funeral service but instead a celebration of her life at the lake. Arrangements will be announced at a later date.
