Linda Kay Kirkman was born May 31, 1948 in Westville, OK to Archilla and Laura Katherine (Puryear) Stansill. She passed away at her home surrounded by family on August 16, 2015.
Linda was a very devoted wife and mother not only to her children but several other family members that she helped raise and care for. She had a love for music and played in a band for many years, playing the drums and singing some good ol’ country songs. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by so many whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Lonnie Lynn Thomas, daughter Jan Marie Sinclair, son in-law Larry Sinclair, four brothers, Kenneth, Donald, Ronald and John Stansill, one sister, Earlene Stansill.
Linda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Darrell L. Kirkman, son Danny Wilson, Sr., 2 daughters, Darlinda Kay Lewis (Clinton), Jennifer Knight (Mike), 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister Sue Collins and 2 brothers, Jimmy Stansill (Leah) and Charles Collins, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
