Eleanor T. Langford was born March 13, 1924 to J. Alfred and Enid (Vannice) Thomas in Creighton, Missouri. She passed away March 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Roy A. (Bud) Langford, her parents and sister Alice Wutke.
Eleanor’s early life was spent in the Vista Missouri area. She attended Vista and Longridge Schools. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1941.
Eleanor moved to Kansas City and worked at North American Aviation during World War II. She married Bud Langford in 1944. Moving back to Osceola in the late 1940’s she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Osceola; a devoted wife and mother; and a friendly face at the Osceola Bank.
In 1959 Eleanor and her family moved to Gladstone, Missouri. She worked for Co-op (Farmland Industries); attended Maple Woods Community College; and following a move to Independence, MO she worked for Pritchard Products.
In retirement Eleanor enjoyed traveling; spending winter months in Rockport, TX; attending Bible Studies; volunteering at Noland Road Baptist Church; and tending her beautiful daylilies in her backyard gardens.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Lynn (John) Rockeman and son John T (Teresa Boyd) Langford; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
