Whiteside, Clara September 29, 1929 - March 20, 2019

Clara Lou (Matzke) Whiteside, age 89, was born September 29, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Clifford Joseph Fox and Mildred Lumsden Fox. She went to be with God on March 20, 2019.

Clara graduated from Englewood High School in Englewood, Colorado in May of 1947. She met and married Ferd Matzke in Denver, Colorado on November 15, 1947 and welcomed their four children while living in Denver. She moved with her first husband and two youngest children to El Dorado Springs, Missouri in 1970. A few years later, her two oldest children moved to El Dorado Springs, which made her very happy to have all her children near her. Throughout her life, she worked in healthcare and food preparation.

After the death of her first husband in April of 2004, she was united in marriage to Holly Whiteside of Harwood on July 12, 2008. She enjoyed traveling with both her first and second husbands. She also enjoyed gardening, embroidery and crossword puzzles. She was an active member of Shell City Christian Church and also regularly attended First Christian Church in El Dorado Springs. She will be missed by all family and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ferd Matzke; and her second husband, Holly Whiteside; and a brother, Donald Fox.

She is survived by her brother, Charles Fox (Ardell) of Ozark, Missouri; three daughters, Linda Reynolds, Terry Hampton (Danny), Sheri Vance (Robert); one son, Mike Matzke (Judy), all of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; a step daughter, Debbie Rypka (Matt) of Forestville, California; two stepsons, Stanley Whiteside (Cress) of Porterville, California, and Earl Whiteside (Tracy) of Harwood, Missouri; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
