Loomis, Charles August 26, 1952 - June 16, 2023

Charles Eugene Loomis of Bolivar, Missouri was born August 26, 1952, in Ozark, Missouri to Dorothy and
Arnold Loomis. He passed away June 16, 2023, in Bolivar, Missouri.

Charlie attended Ozark High School and graduated in 1970. He lived in Chadwick, MO, after graduation
before moving to Osceola, MO for many years. He then moved to Pomme de Terr Lake before moving to
Bolivar, MO.

Charlie worked in construction, managed the McKesson warehouse in Springfield, MO, and later owned
Charlie’s Rod and Gun in Osceola, MO. He worked in retail prior to retiring in 2012.

He married Carol Brunk in 1971. Of this marriage three children were born: Melissa Huckaby of Sheldon,
MO, Carrie Harper of Camdenton, MO, and Arnold Loomis of Oklahoma.

In 2010 he met Sharon Pettibon of the Pomme de Terre Lake area, and they married in March 2011.
Charlie gained two children with Sharon: Melissa Rider and her husband Jay of Austin, TX, and Wess
Pettibon of Springfield, MO.

He is also survived by two half sisters Janice Luttrell and husband Lester, and Judy Holmes and husband
Amile. He had four grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents: Dorothy and Arnold Loomis.

He especially enjoyed his many friends that he made in his life. If you had him as a friend, then you were
a friend for life. He had many stories of many experiences and shared them with his friends. Charlie
enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gun engraving. He will be greatly missed.
