Lysinger, James “Jim” G. April 11, 1925 - September 28, 2013

James Garnett Lysinger was born April 11, 1925 and passed away at the Holden Manor Care Center on Sept. 28, 2013.

He was second of two sons born to Lauren A. Lysinger and Julia Ann Barr Lysinger. He attended grade school at Short and Lowry City and graduated from Lowry City High School on May 6, 1943. He lived his life in the Lowry City area until the age of 84, he then resided with Tom and Cindy Lysinger of Holden, and then on to the Holden Manor Care Center, Holden. Jim was a farmer by trade and a veteran of the Korean War. He was drafted into the Army April 10, 1951, 1 day short of his 25th Birthday. He returned on March 13, 1953, after his tour in Germany. He received an Honorable Discharge Certificate on August 2, 1956, He enjoyed coaching American Legion Junior Baseball, he and his team were State Runner-Up in 1961 during a State Tournament in Jefferson City, MO. Jim also enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in the showing of his dogs. and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Betty Frances Lysinger, brother John F. Lysinger, Sr., sister-in-law Betty Genevieve Lysinger, great nephew Thomas Ray Lysinger II, nephew-in-law Bob Kinney.

Survived by a host of nieces and nephews: Jr. and Linda Lysinger, Julie(Lysinger), Josh, Mackenzie and Miles Russell, Janet (Lysinger), Bill, Kailee and Blake Green, Jill (Lysinger), Jared, Mikah, Rhett and Swayer Wareham; Bill & Malinda Lysinger, James, Jimmy, and Jena Lysinger. Jacqueline (Lysinger), Scott, Annabell & Jackson Alexander; Betty (Lysinger) Kinney, Jeremy, Janel, Colten, Dalton, and Liberty Hildebrand, and Nancy (Hildebrand) & Adam Horton, Tom & Cindy Lysinger, Joey and Jordan Lysinger, Kristi (Lysinger), Matthew, Emma and Abby Miller, George, Linda, Johnny, Geoffry and Andrew Lysinger, and friends.
