Moore, Larry F August 12, 1939 - November 11, 2015

Larry was born on August 12, 1939 to Benjamin Francis Moore and Iona “Burrow” Moore in Roscoe, MO. He passed away November 11, 2015 at Village Hospice in Lee’s Summit, MO.

He received his B.S. from the University of Missouri in 1962, and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1966. He was part of the Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity. He had a veterinary practice in Drexel, MO from 1966 to 1982. From 1982 to 1998 he was a Technical Service Veterinarian at Bayer Animal Health. In 1998 he moved back to Osceola to do some consulting and became involved in family cattle operation and then retired.

He was involved in these organizations: Life time member of Missouri Veterinary Medical and American Veterinary Medical Associations, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, Academy of Veterinary Consultants, St. Clair County Cattlemen, Missouri Cattlemen (2004 Missouri Cattleman of the year), and National Cattlemen Beef Associations. He also served as officer and committee member in many of the above organizations.

Larry married Alice Ann Elffner on September 03, 1960 in Fowler, KS. He is survived by his children, daughter Lorri and Sean Wallace, son Rick and Julie, son Todd and wife Maria, brothers, Chgarles and Melvin Moore, sister, Liz Byrne,eleven grandchildren, James, Josh, Jake, Demi, Anthony, Marshall, Dallas, Tristen, Justin, John, and Ethan; one great grandson, Killian Burt other relatives and many friends.

His passion was working cattle and hard work in general and enjoyed family and fun with friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, wife, and son Robert Moore.

In lieu of flowers send donations to St. Clair County Cattlemen’s Scholarship fund or Missouri Cattlemen Foundation for scholarships.
