Donna Mae Morris was born on June 10, 1928, in Marceline, MO., to John and Ila Fae (Young) Fletcher. She passed away at the Cedar County Memoral Hospital on January 1, 2016, at the age of eighty-seven.
Upon graduating high school in Marceline, MO., Donna went to work for Wallsworth Publishing Company in a supervisory position. Shortly after she met the love of her life and her best friend, Frank Morris. They married November 1, 1947 and Donna decided to become a mother and homemaker. To this union three daughters were born; Pam, Linda, and Brenda. Donna fulfilled her goal of being a loving and doting wife and mother for the next fifty-five years.
Donna spent her married years in Marceline, LaPlata, Drexel and El Dorado Springs, MO. Upon Frank’s retirement she spent most of her time beside Frank as constant companion, sharing what they enjoyed most, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Donna was baptized into the Methodist Church in LaPlata, MO., and attended church in the Methodist Church in El Dorado Springs, MO.
She loved going to the Senior Center playing bingo and sharing lunches with her friends.
Donna was preceded in death by husband Frank; daughter Pamela Jean Ritter; son-in-law Leonard Ritter, and many brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.
Donna is survived by two daughters, Linda McCullick and husband Wayne, Brenda Riggs and husband Tom; one beloved sister Joan Mataya; six blessed grandchildren Deidra, Amanda, Randy, Kristina, Shawna, and Jackie; several great grandchildren and now great great grandchildren.
