Karen Diane (Griese) Stout was born July 21, 1941 to Arthur Griese and Clarice (Thrush) Griese at Elore, Minnesota. She departed from this life January 1, 2016.
She was baptized on the April 17, 1942, with Confirmation May 29, 1955. Karen and her family moved to California when she was about six years old. She graduated high school at Live Oak, California. She was married shortly after and was blessed with a daughter, Wendee Joy. Four years later, she married Marion A. (Sam) Stout from Kansas, who was in the U.S. Air Force and was sent to the Philippines for sixteen months. Karen lived in Kansas while Sam was gone and had their son, Clifford Allen. She was a mother and home keeper for Sam for fifty-one years, 2 1/2 months.
Karen and Sam retired to a country place in Blackjack, Missouri area, which was later hit by tornado winds and destroyed. They found a new home in El Dorado Springs, which Karen came quickly to love. She found a new church home and church family, which she was forever thankful for.
She is survived by her husband, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The church, God, and family have always been the priority in Karen’s life. Karen left us this New Years and is starting fresh in a better place for the upcoming year.
