Morrison, Brad Gregory March 1, 1956 - September 4, 2018

Brad Gregory Morrison was born March 1, 1956 to Ralph and Leona (Potter) Morrison in Overland Park, Kansas. He left this earth September 4, 2018 at his home in Osceola, Missouri.

He grew up in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Brad worked for the city of Kansas City, Missouri for over 20 years. At that time he had a son, Brian in 1980. They spent years camping, fishing, and gardening. Brad became a commercial truck driver in the Kansas City area where his customers and co-workers became his friends.

Brad met Julia Hill in 2001 at her job while she was caring for his mother in an assisted living community in Olathe, Kansas. After meeting, their lives changed. A new meaning of love grew for both of them. Going to the lake with Julia was his biggest joy. He told her numerous times this was where he wanted to retire. On April 8th, 2004 they were married at the chapel where Brad’s mother lived so she could attend.

After an unlikely retirement from driving a commercial truck for 19 years they moved to the country where he always wanted to be, with the deer, eagles, owls and fish…No sirens. He remained friends and kept in touch with his coworkers. Brad could be found at a swap and shop, estate sale and flea markets around the area.

Brad was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Morrison; his only son, who he was very proud of, Brian Morrison and wife Whitney; sister, Janice and husband Bob Raymond of Overland Park, Kansas; niece Kim Dubner from Georgia and nephew Jim Raymond from Texas.
