Betty Jean (Dukes) Perkins was born January 24, 1924, in Osceola, MO to Harry and Glenn (Moore) Dukes. She passed away August 24, 2021, at Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Betty graduated from Osceola Public School and attended Central Missouri University in Warrensburg, MO. She was united in marriage to J.B. Perkins in 1942 in Richmond, California. To this union one son David was born.
Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Marshall, MO, and a Methodist. She was involved many years with her husband, J.B. in the building materials industry in Marshall, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.B. in 1994, one sister Noma Wisner, and brothers: Herbert, Harold (Shorty), Richard, Jack, and Bill.
Betty is survived by her son David and wife Kaye, a special niece and friend Doris Wheeler, three grandchildren: Margaret (Drew) Dieckhoff, Patrick (Lindsay) Perkins, and Karen (Craig) Johnson. Also surviving her is nine great-grandchildren, Brynner and Bryce Dieckhoff, Elder, Sayer and Stevie Perkins, and Rowan, Bennett, Emersyn, and Hackett Johnson, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
