William “Bill” E. Phillips was born November 19, 1934 in Osceola, Missouri to John and Nellie (Stout) Phillips.  He passed away January 19, 2021 in El Dorado Springs, Missouri.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.  After serving his country Bill worked for several business as a skilled mechanic including Jim Sonders Equipment in Warrensburg, Missouri, Cooks Tractor and Unitog Maintenance in Clinton, Missouri, Texaco Station in Independence, Amoco Station in Kansas City and a Coop Station in Chillhowee, Missouri, all owned by Charles Senior, who was a very close friend.  He also worked for Campbell’s Equipment in Chillhowee, Missouri that was owned by Dean Campbell who was also a good friend.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie (Stout) Phillips; 1st wife, Eva (Ward) Phillips and wife Velma Phillips; sister, Laverne Warren; brothers, Leroy Phillips and Thomas Phillips and his wife Sarah.

He is survived by his son, Stephen D. Phillips and wife Sandra of Clinton, Missouri; Daughters, Vickey L. Richey and husband Dennis of Warrensburg, Missouri and Diana I. Richey and husband Gary of Calhoun, Missouri; Sister-in-law, Phyllis Phillips of Warrensburg, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.

    Sorry for your loss. Bill did several tractors over the years fort me. Hadn’t had a chance to get by to see him in the last year. Always had him in my prayers. He will be missed.
