Fredrick K. Radtke died April 11, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born M arch 26, 1948 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Earl and Nellie May Jones Radtke. He was the next to youngest of four children.
He graduated from Utica High School in Utica, Michigan in 1966. He joined the Navy soon after graduation, serving 2 years as a SEABEE. He was a Vietnam War Veteran.
After serving his country he returned to Utica, Michigan and was employed by the Pepsi Corporation. He married Kathy Hug and to this union two children were born. He retired from Pepsi after 25 years of service as a driver. Soon after retirement he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to his son and older brother. He moved to Saint Clair County, Missouri in September 2008.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Radtke Kuk and her husband Albert Kuk of Murrietia Springs, California; his two brothers Dennis Radtke of Lowry City, Missouri and Mark Radtke and wife Mary of Roscoe, Missouri.; his daughter Heather Radtke Adams and husband Peter Adams of Warren, Michigan; son, Fredrick K. Radtke, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; his loving long time companion Karen Patterson; two grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
Fred was living his dream of owning a small ranch in the Midwest and raising cattle at the time of his death. He was looked to by many for advice and support making him a great leader. Family was very important to him. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
