Eddie Dean Summers, 58, of Mt. Vernon, MO passed away in his home of natural causes on April 17, 2015. He was the seventh child born to Betty Jo Summers on June 17, 1956 in Lockwood, MO. He grew up in Greenfield with his siblings enjoying the outdoors. He briefly worked for the railroad. His last employment was with the TA truck stop in Mt. Vernon, MO before retiring due to his failing health. He settled in Mt. Vernon, MO at Suzanne’s Apartment complex where he made several close friends and kept busy with odd jobs around the complex. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms in the spring. Eddie married Tina Wilkinson in 1976. They had three children Jason, Todd and Trisha. They divorced after several years.
Proceeding him in death were his mother, Betty Jo Summers, two brothers, Cletis Snow and Larry Snow, and one sister, Debbie Snow.
Eddie is survived by his three children, Jason of Harrison, AR. Todd of Casper, Wyoming and Trisha Summers of Springfield, MO. and six grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Clayton Snow of El Dorado Springs, Roger Snow of Miller, MO. and Danny Snow of Willard, MO. two sisters Linda Bough and Pam Chism, both of Stockton, MO.
Eddie was always glad to see his children and especially happy to see Trisha and her girls as often as he could. He was very easy going and had a big heart. We will never forget his big smile and his laugh. Eddie’s family will miss him dearly.
