Roberta Dawn (Warner) Smith was born on December 5, 1938 in Garden City, Missouri in a two story house delivered by her father and grandmother, because of a snow storm that was deeper than the fence posts and the doctor could not make it.
She was born to Thomas Jefferson Warner and Mary Ruby (Brown) Warner. She went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2017 with her precious poodle, Prince George Smith, who died on February 10, 2017.
Roberta graduated in 1956 from Harrisonville High School. At age nine, she joined the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville and later moved her membership to First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. She worked in insurance for several different companies until retiring in 2001.
On February 7, 1959 Roberta married the love of her life, Jimmie D. Smith where they raised four daughters. She enjoyed gospel and country music and fishing and camping with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Jimmie D. Smith; one daughter Jinnie Renta Boyer; one granddaughter Stephanie Stalder; one great grandson Jordan; along with her parents and four brothers and two sisters; and one son-in-law Richard S. Reid.
Roberta is survived by three daughters, Shirley K. Reid of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Diana M. Johnson and husband Gary of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Robin D. Reed and husband Johnny of Little Rock, Arkansas; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.
