Kenneth James Taylor, son of James Goldman and Gladys Delsie Taylor was born April 22, 1942 in Clinton, Missouri. He passed away his home in Appleton City August 20, 2016.
He graduated from Appleton City High School in 1962. Kenny spent all of his life in the Taberville and Appleton City area. Kenny and LouAnn Wecker were united in marriage September 26, 1963 in Osceola, Missouri and were blessed with 5 children.
Kenny was diagnosed with polio at 6 months old and was in Childrens Mercy Hospital for 7 years and attended first grade in the hospital. He enjoyed CBS and as many can guess, his CB handle (Big Daddy). Kenny also enjoyed his horses, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, hunting, fishing, music and had a HUGE sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was a man who never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to lend a helping hand to anyone. He opened his doors and heart to everyone. Kenny and LouAnn helped raise several children that weren’t even theirs and loved them as their own.
He was preceded in death by both his parents Goldman and Gladys; 2 sons, James and Scotty Taylor; 3 brothers, Wilbur, David and Richard Taylor; 3 sisters, Shirley Taylor, Betty Frances and Wanetta Nichols.
Kenny is survived by his wife, LouAnn Taylor of the home; son, Larry Taylor and wife Evelyn of Wheatland, Missouri; daughters, Kim Jones and husband Rick of Rockville, Missouri and Anna Masten and husband Justin of Appleton City, Missouri; 3 sisters, Gevena Smith and Goldie Taylor of Appleton City, Missouri, Elsie Brenton of Holden, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Jacob and Kaitlyn Masten, Shelia, Glen and Scott Jones and Jennifer Singleton and 3 great-grandchildren, Wesley, Colton and Ellie. Kenny will be missed by many nieces, nephews and numerous friends and loved ones.
