James Ronald “Ron” Walters passed away at his home in Clinton, MO on August 05, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1943 to Alto and Idaleen (Cole) Walters of Lowry City, MO. He graduated from Lowry City High School and was a member of Lowry City Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Shirley (Wetzel) Walters; Three children; Jeff, Randy and Diane Walters; Sister and two Brothers; Shirley McCoy, Larry and Steve Walters and nine grandchildren, twelve great grand children as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ron and Shirley moved to Kansas City where he completed apprentice school for sheet metal work and drafting. He subsequently opened his own Commercial Sheet Metal and HVAC business that he owned and operated for over 10 years in Independence, MO. In 1984 he sold the business and moved to Clinton, MO. There he farmed and did other various jobs. He was always a very hard worker and took great pride in always helping others. He enjoyed several hobbies over the years such as; camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, square dancing, racing and restoring classic and vintage vehicles. He had an exceptional talent for building and fixing things.
