Wanda Lucille Powell, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026.

Wanda was born on September 4, 1935, in Austin, Texas. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Raymond Powell, on October 3rd. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and love.

Wanda was a dedicated beautician and homemaker who took great pride in caring for others. She created a warm and welcoming home  unconditional love and  touched countless lives with her kindness and generous spirit.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Wanda loved square dancing with Ray, spending time tending to her flower gardens, searching for new patterns to sew, and taking care of her sidekick, Rocky. Her creativity, hard work, and attention to detail were evident in everything she did.

Wanda was a faithful member of the Bolivar Church of Christ, where she cherished fellowshipping with her many friends. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life and was reflected in the love and compassion she showed to everyone she met. Above all, Wanda treasured her family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Dick), Sandy (Lee) , and Kim (David); six grandchildren, Jessi, Laura, Meredith, Josh, Cody, and Montana; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Ray. Her parents CG and Oneita Creek and three brothers Ronnie, Bill and Jackie.

Wanda’s legacy of love, faith, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
