Wilma “Willie” Fay Welsh was born in Elkhead, MO to George & Edna Hull on January 14, 1929. She passed away peacefully in Riverside, MO on July 14, 2021 at the age of 92.
Willie was a person that loved life and sharing it with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her brother & sisters and being Aunt Wilma to all of her nieces and nephews. She was the proud mother of four children and was “Grandma Willie” to generations of grandchildren.
Willie was married to Eddie, the love of her life, for 35 glorious years. Holiday gatherings were some of her favorite times to be with her ever-expanding family and friends. She also liked reading, playing Bingo, gambling, garage sales, traveling, dancing, and all types of music.
Preceding her in death were; her husband Edward Welsh, daughter Yvonne Scheer, siblings Lowell Hull, Dorothy Hanna, Georgia Lee Phillips, and Patty Morrison, grandsons Thomas Wasmer III and Keith Wasmer, great-grandson Ryan Wood, as well as her parents George & Edna.
Willie is survived by 3 children; Thomas E. Wasmer Jr., E. Diane Taylor & husband Paul, and Richard L. Wasmer & wife Patty, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, as well as multiple nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Vets in care of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
