Sharon Lee Woody was born on June 11, 1953 in Oakland, California. The oldest daughter of Nora Bell Cox Loter of Mt.Vernon, Arkansas and Jesse Irvin Loter of Davenport, Iowa. After moving to Davenport she attended elementary school there and then moved to Arkansas with her mother, brother, Mark Irvin Loter (Dianne Henry Loter)and sister Karon Ruth Loter McCarthy (Timothy K McCarthy).She also had half sisters from her father’s side, Crystal Vaughn of Iowa and Jessica Williams of Washington State. She met and married Dennis Wayne Woody of Osceola, Missouri and resided on the family farm until her death, January 25, 2014. Sharon was the proud mother of Toby Loter (Cori), Clint Dutcher (Kerri), Kenneth Woody (Shelly) and Dennis Woody, Jr. and grandmother of…..Madison, Tanner & Logan, Matt, Mikayla & Mason, Logan & Brady, Brooke, Brina, Brock, Brianna &Brett, Denise, Garrett & Dravon. Great Grandmother of… Shyanne & Tynsely, Emma & Kolton. She had many nieces and nephews who she cherished. Other family INCLUDES… Brothers and sisters in law…. Mike & Sandra Woody and Steve & Candy Woody. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Her friends were many both in Iowa, Arkansas and in her home of Osceola. While attending school in Mt. Vernon High School she acquired the name of “Preach” and it stuck. She also loved attending Kidd’s Chapel Church where she really enjoyed Bible study. She always said she had learned a lot from these studies. She was a loving mother, grandmother to every child she came in contact with and a hero to many. She found the best in everyone and showed it to them. She was, most of all, loyal. On the farm she loved her mustang “Jughead” and her many donkeys and taking care of others when they needed help. She was a wife a mother a daughter a sister and a friend and we will miss her kind heart.
