Irene Wright passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022, at Appleton City Manor Nursing Home. Irene was the youngest of 11 kids, born July 10, 1933, to Charles and Mary (Johnson) Courm in Clinton, Missouri.

Irene married Wm. Albert Wright on August 24, 1951. To this union 2 children were born: Debbie Wright of Appleton City, Missouri, and Kelly Knepp (Clayton) of Appleton City, Missouri. She was a farm wife who loved to embroider and was most happy when she gave her creations to others. Her greatest joy came from her 2 grandchildren: Bailey Pearl James of Liberty, Missouri, and Clayton William Knepp IV of Appleton City, Missouri.

Irene was a member of the Prairie Queen Garden Club and a voting judge for the Monegaw Township for many years. She also helped raise many family members over the years and opened her home and table to everyone. You never left her table hungry!

Irene was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Mary (Johnson) Courm, and her husband Wm. Albert Wright.

She will be greatly missed and loved unconditionally by all her family and friends.
