Thomas Albert Yates, age 62, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Davis Hospice center in Cheyenne, WY. Tom was born on August 8, 1956 to Luther Albert Yates and Ada Geraldine Pollard Yates in Independence, MO. His family moved to the Osceola area when he was a young boy and Tom attended Osceola Schools, where he graduated in 1975.
After high school, Tom served in the National Guard for a short timje before beginning his career as a commercial driver. Tom truly enjoyed being a driver, and even worked for Jefferson Lines as a Bus Driver for a few years. He was most passionate about pulling flat bed trailers and even became a driver trainer for Hunt Transportation, where he finished his career with many awards.
He enjoyed rodeos, especially Cheyenne Frontier Days. He always enjoyed visiting with friends and family and was one of the friendliest people a person could ever meet.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Geraldine Yates.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Yates; daughter, Reihanna Friezell; sons, Dusten Yates and Timothy Yates; stepchildren, Jackie Norviel and Carol Fuchs; two brothers, William (Buck) Yates and Jim Yates; one sister, Lindy Berry and a granddaughter, Jasmine Friezell along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
