Linda Jean Younce was born September 13, 1943, as an only child to Eva Gene Cauthon and Richard Lyle Bard, and was raised by her beloved grandparents Nola and Delbert Cauthon in Osceola, MO. She left this life to join her husband on March 15, 2022, at her home in Roeland Park, KS at the age of 77.
Linda graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1961. She was a cheerleader and was honored with the title of “Prom Queen”. After high school, Linda became a proud mother to five children which she adored. As a profession, Linda was a school bus driver and worked other various jobs to support her family.
After meeting the love of her life, Harlan Younce, she was able to become a stay-at-home mom and caregiver to her mother so that she could focus more on family values. Linda and Harlan were happily married for more than 40 years.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband Harlan Younce, son Michael Dean Younce and her beloved dog “Little Dude”.
She is survived by her children Pamela Renee Nickerson of Belton, MO, Mickey Wickliffe (Keiara) of Emporia, KS, Shawn Wickliffe (Maria) of Roeland Park, KS, Kevin Wickliffe (Cheryl) of Olathe, KS; grandchildren Andrew Wickliffe (Emily), Courtney Nickerson (John), Caitlyn Nickerson (TJ), Brent Wickliffe, Heather Wickliffe, Gatlyn Wickliffe, Caidyn Wickliffe, Daniel Pinedo, Arianna Borges, Melissa Pinedo and many great grandchildren.
Linda was extremely proud of all her children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s accomplishments. She is loved by all and will be extremely missed.
