Connie Young was born on September 19, 1948, in Bolivar, Missouri, and passed away on July 5, 2025, in Bolivar. She spent most of her adult life in Osceola, Missouri, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and strong family ties.
Connie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her kind heart, feisty spirit, and deep love for those around her. She found joy in playing Bingo, slot machines, crafting dream catchers, and cooking with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Naida and Charles Davis; her brothers Johnny Gilden, Jimmy Gilden, Bud Davis and her sisters Linda Lane, Terry Brown, Carolyn Smith.
She is survived by her sister Ann Nimmo and her loving children: Johnnie “Renee” Rye, Tina Dawn Gardner and husband Dick, Shawnna Ann Tucker and husband John, and Jason Ray Young; along with 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved them all fiercely. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the CMH Parkview family and CMH Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Connie’s final days. Her warmth, strength, and spirited personality will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
