Harris, Robert T. August 16, 1917 - April 9, 2017

Robert Thomas Harris was born August 16, 1917 in Ohio, Missouri to Leonard Harris and Lula Jane Meredith. He passed away April 9, 2017 at Community Springs Healthcare in El Dorado Springs.

He graduated from Osceola High School in 1935 and worked in a grocery and feed store in Osceola. He married Babe in 1940. In 1942 he moved to Kansas City where he helped build Sunflower O ammunition plant. On January 14, 1943 Bob went into the Army to serve through WWII. He got an honorable discharge on December 20, 1945.

Bob worked at Milgrams in Kansas City and later at Thriftway in Olathe, Kansas as manager of both and enjoyed the grocery business. He was President of the Lions Club in Olathe, Kansas, a Mason for 54 years and was a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel V. (Babe); parents, Leonard and Lula Harris; brother-in-laws, Dick Roeder and Dwayne Eldridge.

Bob is survived by his brother William K. Harris and wife Rene of Roscoe, Missouri; sisters, Nadyne Roeder of Osceola, Missouri and Niveta Eldridge of Columbus, Georgia along with many nieces, nephews and many friends.
