Glenn Alexander Long, Jr. was born March 13, 1927 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Glenn Alexander and Nellie May (Siebert) Long, Sr. He passed away January 12, 2010 at his home near Collins, MO.
On January 27, 1949 Glenn was united in marriage to Kathleen Kusel in Pittsburg, Kansas. Glenn and Kathleen lived in Joplin when they were first married. Later they moved to Ruskin Heights and Passaic, Missouri before moving to the farm near Collins in April of 1966.
Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an electrician for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of IBEW Local #124. Glenn loved to farm and loved being on the farm.
He was preceded in death by a sister in infancy and 2 sons, Glenn and David.
Glenn is survived by his wife Kathleen, of the home, 4 sons; Kenny, Tim, Toby and Keith; 1 daughter, Cindy Proctor, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
