Lena Loraine “Shus” Bunch Scott went home to her Lord Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at The Baptist Home in Ozark, Missouri. She was born in Brownington, Missouri on March 29, 1928.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings and her parents William David and Mary Snyder Bunch.
She is survived by her husband, Durward “Cott” Scott of Springfield, Missouri, her daughter Winnie Tuckness (Jack) of Springfield, her grandchildren Alex Tuckness (Anastasia) of Ames, Iowa, Kristen Gammon (Jeff) of Springfield, and Kasha Stewart (Todd) of Ozark, and her grandchildren Elise, Joel, and Katherine Gammon and Jonathan, Molly, and Scott Stewart and by her brother, Gene Bunch of Warsaw.
Loraine grew up in central Missouri and eloped with Cott on December 8, 1945. She was a graduate of Central Missouri State. For nearly 50 years Cott and Loraine served in various Baptist churches in Missouri and Illinois where Cott was pastor. She loved being a pastor’s wife. She worked joyfully for many years as a dedicated elementary school teacher and Sunday School teacher. She loved cooking, gardening, showing hospitality, and serving people who were in need.
